4. Say ‘No’ to bread.

Let’s just be honest. I’m almost certain most weddings aren’t providing you with whole grain healthy bread options. Standard bread options are some sort of white bread roll. This is worth passing up, as it offers nothing for you from a health standpoint, but instead, makes you bloated and ruins your diet for the evening.

5. Drink up.

Sip on water through the day leading up to the big night. This will not only fill you up, it will also keep you hydrated. Thinking of partaking in the open bar festivities? Make sure you drink water between drinks, and at some point switch over to only water. This will help keep your alcohol intake balanced, and prevent you from waking up with a huge hangover. And since hangovers often lead to unhealthy next-day food choices, it’s best to prevent this!

6. Taste the cake.

Instead of indulging yourself in a huge slice of cake, try splitting yours with another willing party. No need to completely forgo the cake, I’m sure it cost the couple a fortune! It’s all about moderation here. A few bites will satisfy your cravings, but won’t completely destroy what you’ve set out for with your diet.

7. Dance, dance, dance!

Hopefully the couple got a decent DJ for the night. Not only is dancing the night away the best part of the wedding, it gives you a fun way to burn off some of the calories you ate earlier in the reception.
