Roland Martin talks to Alderman Antonio French about the press conference St. Louis Gov. Jay Nixon had to keep the city calm in the wake of the grand jury’s announcement in the death of Michael Brown, the unarmed 18-year-old teen who was gunned down by a white police officer.

“It certainly didn’t help ease the fears of the people here. This fear is really driving us a part in a time when e need to come together,” French said. “What we need to convey is that black men are not to be feared.”
