No matter who you are, famous or not, it’s hard to escape the Internal Revenue Services. Especially when you owe them.

Apparently, Vanessa Williams didn’t get the memo as she owes nearly $370,000 in unpaid taxes, according to The Smoking Gun.

The site reports the former Miss America was issued a lien earlier this month by the IRS for her faulty 2011 tax return. The amount Williams owes the government organization is $369,249.89.

Although she lives in Chappaqua, N.Y., the Smoking Gun noted that the entertainer’s IRS paperwork was filed under her accounting firm’s Manhattan address.

  1. @ Sharon…oh yea you personally know this because your are her “ASSistant”? If that’s the case you need to be FIRED! Accept some accountability and stop blaming others for your misfortunes….OOPS up side the head was a hit from The Gap Band not a reason to not pay your taxes. Call me a hater all you want but I don’t have a judgement/lien from the IRS.

  2. Why does the media always post this about Celebs. It does NOT take much to told you owe taxes. I was told that I owe the IRS for 2011 (I was given more than I was due so I had to pay some of it back). She may have paid the IRS but they found something and now wanting it. IT does NOT take much to get in this fix. I learned this out by my own experience and I am not rich.

That amount to nothing and I am sure this article is exaggerated….I still amazed how accounting firms screw up people tax returns but our never on the hook and they are regulated by law and license.

      • Yes blame the IRS for someone not paying their taxes. Trust me she received many notices prior to the placing the lien.
Notice she hasn’t made a statement saying the IRS was wrong!
