That woman who filmed herself dancing around her office as she quit her job? She just got an offer of employment from Queen Latifah.
Marina Shifrin, 25, produced a video that went viral Saturday on YouTube announcing to her boss (and to the world) that she was quitting her job while doing an interpretive dance to a Kanye West’s song “Gone.”
She was a guest on “The Queen Latifah Show,” where she was surprised with the job offer.
“So, you looking for a job?” Latifah asked Shifrin, according to NBC Chicago, after Shifrin said she had no regrets about the video, which has over 11 million views on YouTube.
She was offered the position of digital content producer on the “Queen Latifah Show.” Shifrin initially thought Latifah was joking, but it soon became apparent that she wasn’t.
“I’m a boss,” Latifah said. “And bosses can hire!”
As for Shifrin’s former co-workers? They seem to be doing alright. On Tuesday, the company posted a response video entitled “We’re Hiring.” The video had been watched over 2 million times.
Below, watch the Latifah clip, followed by the original “I Quit” video and the “We’re Hiring” response by her employers.
