In the wake of the incredible MegaFest event, put on by Bishop T.D. Jakes and his staff in Dallas this past weekend, something very interesting happened Sunday morning at Jakes’ Potters House church.

Media mogul Tyler Perry donated $1 million dollars to Jakes’ effort to build a youth center and then, in dramatic fashion, laid hands on Bishop Jakes!

“I’ve just been touched to give $1 million,” Tyler Perry said in the Sunday morning service on the video. Perry then tells how he didn’t even know Jakes was building a youth center.

“God I don’t know what you’re doing but I heard your voice,” Perry said. “When you hear the voice of God, you move.”

Leading up to the million dollar donation and the laying of hands, Perry talked about being in attendance at one of MegaFest’s biggest events, “Manpower,” and receiving a blessing. He also recalled how Pastor Paula White asked him to write a check for $113.00 … representing Psalm 113. Well, Perry wrote his check for $113,000, describing how much he loves giving.

“When you have favor with…” Perry pointed to the ceiling, referencing the Lord.

“They don’t understand it in Hollywood, but I’m going to tell you something about the blood of Jesus,” he continued to the enthusiastic audience. “My mother didn’t have much to give me. But she had Jesus.”

Perry attempted to hand the microphone back, but was urged to continue speaking and morphed in to preacher mode.

“Don’t worry about your enemy. Don’t worry about your hater. He will bless you. He will lift you,” Perry proclaimed. “Sometimes you spend too much time worrying about your haters.”

And then it happened, although it looked like it may have been pre-planned, Perry began prophesying good things over Bishop Jakes’ life, and laid his hand on Jakes’ forehead as he leaned back seemingly under the power of the Holy Spirit.

“I pray his anointing will stay all over you,” said Perry.

Look at what the power of money can do! In my opinion that wasn’t God. I bet you if no money was pledged on hands would have been allowed to be laid. What a joke!

On Tyler Perry and Bishop Jakes:

Yahshua Ha Mashiach entered the home of the Pharisees to dine with them. During their fellowship, a prostitute walked in and fell at the Messiah’s feet. She began to weep and while she wept, her tears cleaned the Messiah feet and she dried His feet with her hair. Then she pulled out an alabaster box filled with expensive oil. She then anoints Yahshua’s feet. The Pharisees (church leaders and officials), at no time, attempted to remove the woman from Yahshua. They wanted to see what the Messiah would do as they began to criticize the Him by saying things like, “Don’t you know what kind of woman this is? Haven’t you heard the rumors about her reputation? She is unclean. Why are you allowing this sinner to touch you? You suppose to be a man of God who flows in the fullness of the Spirit of God. You’re a master teacher. You should not let this filthy woman touch you.” Yahshua Ha Mashiach replied, “When I entered your house, you did not pour water on my feet or anoint my head with oil (this was customary hospitality in Hebrew culture). This woman not only gave me the common hospitality that you did not, she blessed me with that which meant the most to her sparing no expense.” Did Yahshua the Messiah lose His Sonship or status in the Kingdom when Mary Magdalene blessed Him? Did the Anointed One lose any of His anointing when He allowed the prostitute to touch Him? Was the spirit of prostitution and lust transferred from Mary to the Messiah? The answer to these questions is Yes, only in the eyes and the minds of the Pharisees who later crucified the Savior of the world. We should be very careful about speaking on things that we do not understand; moreover, let us not lean to our own understanding. All things will be revealed in time. Until then, opinions, no matter how convicting or convincing, matter not. Who am I? Ask the Father and He shall reveal it to you.
