Jaden Smith says he has no plans to try to become emancipated from his parents Will and Jada Pinkett Smith after his father claimed he wanted his own house for his 15th birthday in July.

Both father and son laughed off recent reports that Will had reluctantly accepted that their son wanted to be freed from their legal guardianship so he could move into his own house. [Scroll down to watch.]

“See, here’s the thing that you need to understand: I’m not going anywhere” he said in a joint interview with his dad on today’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“The thing that people don’t get is everything at this house is free so I can get anything and everything at his house. So I’m going to be there 20, 30 more years.”

The “After Earth” star also joked that Will said he can only move out when he becomes hugely successful: “He says as soon as I have a movie that’s bigger than one of his movies, I can get my own house.”

Meanwhile, Will said his previous emancipation comments were made in jest and taken out of context.

“I think I made a joke in Tokyo. I mean… my baby boy, he’s never leaving me, ever. No emancipation for the Smith kids.”
