The grandson of Malcolm X, Malcolm Shabazz, was killed in Tijuana on early Thursday morning, according to Amsterdam News. The U.S. Embassy has also reportedly confirmed Shabazz’ death, which resulted from injuries he received after being thrown off a building as he was being robbed.

Close family friend, Terrie M. Williams, wrote in a statement on Twitter: “I’m confirming, per US Embassy, on bhalf of family, the tragic death of Malcolm Shabazz, grandson of Malcolm X.Statement frm family 2 come.”

Shabazz was the father of three-year-old daughter, Ilyasah, his mother, Qubilah and his aunt, Ilyasah.

Shabazz has faced difficulty over the years. He pled guilty and was found guilty of manslaughter and arson in 1997. His grandmother, Betty Shabazz, was killed in the fire. Shabazz was arrested in February by the FBI while en route to Iran to attend a Hollywoodism conference.

    This is a surprise ???

    Why ???

This is the same criminal who set his grandmothers’ home on fire, among other things.

    Surprise ??? No !!!

Only question is: why did it take so long ???

The FBI constantly harassed he and his friends and questioned him about this trip. I wouldn’t put this past them. We know what they did to his grandfather. Why would he get robbed? He wasn’t known to have, or look like he had money.
