BALTIMORE (AP) — David Legree threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Javaris Brown with 46 seconds left and Hampton defeated Morgan State 21-16 on Saturday.

Legree completed 4 of 6 passes for 74 yards on the Pirates’ (6-5, 5-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) winning drive, which spanned 78 yards on seven plays in 49 seconds.

Hampton trailed 16-15 after Delonte Williams scored on a 1-yard run for the Bears (4-7, 3-5).

Morgan State, which led most of the game, got an 81-yard punt return by Winfred Diggs and a 36-yard field goal from Kemar Scarlett to go up 9-3 at halftime.

The Bears led 9-6 at the start of the fourth quarter before Hampton scored on a safety and Steve Robinson’s 10-yard run for a 15-9 lead with 6:36 left. It was the Pirates’ first lead since midway through the second quarter.
