EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — In case you missed the latest episode of the NBA’s version of As The World Turns, here’s the latest: Lakers rookie D’Angelo Russell filmed his teammmate Nick ‘Swaggy P’ Young admitting to cheating on his fiancée, rapper Iggy Azalea. That 30-second recording was leaked to a blog and it exploded on social media.

At that point, according to several reports, the rest of the Lakers, who aren’t distracted by a championship run as they are now the second worst team in the league, began ostracizing Russell, who must be missing a few brain cells to pull such a stupid stunt in the first place.

AP reported today that Russell has apologized.

D’Angelo Russell says he must rebuild the Los Angeles Lakers’ trust in him after taking an unflattering video of teammate Nick Young.

Russell apologized profusely for the video Wednesday night before the Lakers hosted the Miami Heat.

The rookie point guard says he has no idea how the video became public. He intended it to be a joke between two easygoing teammates.

In Russell’s video, he asked Young about being with women other than his fiancée, rapper Iggy Azalea. The video began circulating online in the past week.

Young also spoke briefly before the game. He says the dispute should be settled within the locker room, but didn’t say he has forgiven Russell.
