LOS ANGELES (AP) — A judge says former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight should stay behind bars until his next court hearing in March related to a deadly hit-and-run.

A prosecutor and Knight’s attorney asked for a delay in a bail-review hearing Monday, with both sides stating they needed more time to prepare.

Knight is the co-founder of Death Row Records, which once boasted Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg among its artists.

The 49-year-old, who appeared in court Monday, has been charged with murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run after authorities say he ran down and killed one man and seriously injured another in a parking lot.

Knight’s attorneys have said he was trying to flee a vicious attack Jan. 29 when he hit the men with his pickup truck. Knight is due back in court March 20.
