90’s R&B group SWV are gearing up for the return of their hit We reality show SWV Reunited. As per the usual drama from the trio, only Taj and Coko make the TJMS show this morning at first – let’s hope it has nothing to do with Lelee’s pregnancy scare. Hmmm.

The 90’s trio has gone through it all during their career and during the show’s run – voice problems, family issues, mistakes from the past – it’s all part of the messy reunion of the 90’s hit-making group.

“That wasn’t my fault,” Taj says of her vocal problems. “That was Jesus, telling me to slow down.”

In order to maintain some kind of harmony in the group, the group does have a rule that seems to have worked so far.

‘We have a firm rule that the only people that can kick us out is us and we need all three votes,” says Taj.

There are some looming dramas on this season of SWV Reunited, that haven’t all be resolved yet.

Is Lelee pregnant? Well, the blogs haven’t said anything but what happens with that will be revealed at some point during the season. Is Coko still torn between gospel and secular music? Well, yes, but she’s willing to sing certain songs from her raunchier past including the SWV hit “Downtown.” And how is Taj’s marriage and health going?

The marriage is doing very well. Taj and Eddie George celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in 2014 with a vow renewal. They’ve been together a total of 17 years. But Taj’s health is a little trickier: she’s now on seizure medications that she will have to take for the rest of her life.

“I’m great. God is good,” Taj says. “He renewed my whole body. There is nothing wrong with me today. I’m on medication so I’m pretty much trying to avoid that situation [seizures]. I don’t know what would happen if I was not on medication.”

Another 90’s group that has been making news lately is TLC, who raised almost $200K in two days to complete another, final album. Pop star Katy Perry kicked in $5,000 personally.

SWV says while they are stuck in their current record contract, they don’t mind donations.

“I will be her fireworks,” laughs Taj. “Wanna go to Hawaii. Need help.”

“I need a vacation,” says Coko. “I need a bag.”

“I’m so proud of TLC for taking that route,” says Taj. “And all the haters need to shut up,” says Coko. “They did it in two days.”

SWV Reunited airs at 10 p.m. Wednesdays (new day) on WeTV.

Coko and Taj talk to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about what else to expect from their new season and which member they’d vote out the group. Click the link above to hear the entire interview.
