ESPN didn’t think you’d need long to catch up on the NBA offseason now that basketball is back. The new NBA season begins Thursday, October 30th with a lot of intriguing storylines – will the Cavaliers immediately dominate in the East now that LeBron is back?

Will the Knicks immediately improve under new coach Derek Fisher and new President Phil Jackson? Can the Lakers contend as Kobe’s career heads towards its inevitable end?

Will the Spurs repeat? How will the Clippers do under new ownership? And what about the Lebron-less Heat?

Well, here’s a quick catchup on everything strictly basketball related that happened in the offseason. This excludes the controversies surrounding Donald Sterling who was forced out as Clippers owner after racist audio emerged and Atlanta Hawks owner Bruce Levenson, who admitted to racist emails, put the team up for sale and put his GM on leave.
