A Milwaukee woman is accused of stabbing her two teenage boys over get this…a missing $20 bill.

The NY Daily News reports:

Deniece Luckett, 44, allegedly lashed out violently after the 18-year-old confronted her about $20 that were missing from his dresser in his Brown Deer home, police said.

“One of the boys just knew he had $20 missing. They started arguing over it. Then the mom came into the picture. She got involved and this verbal argument escalated to a physical confrontation,” Lt. Lisa Kumbier of the Brown Deer Police Department told the Daily News.

Luckett hurled a cup at the 16-year-old’s head and retrieved a knife from the kitchen while the older brother tended to his younger brother, authorities said.

Then she allegedly charged at the boys and started slashing at them. The 18-year-old required emergency surgery for a severed vein and the 16-year-old needed 15 stitches for two head wounds, reported Milwaukee-based WISN.

Luckett did not have custody of her children and was most recently a resident of Arizona. She just arrived in Wisconsin last month to visit and it was not immediate clear what her future plans were, Kumbier said.

The boys reportedly live in the Brown Deer home with another family member.

Authorities later found Luckett in Milwaukee, according to the ABC affiliate.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Luckett was charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor on Monday: first-degree reckless injury, two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, physical abuse of a child and misdemeanor battery, according to a criminal complaint.

If convicted of all charges, she could spend 60 years in prison.
