The proverbial spit has hit the fan in the case of Eddie Murphy versus his fake son Brando Murphy for $50 million. Brando Murphy, a rising Los Angeles comedian, dropped his $50 million lawsuit against the superstar comedian Eddie Murphy. Brando is placing the blame for the whole ordeal squarely on the shoulders of his management team.

The Urban Daily ran an exclusive interview with Brando Murphy back in April after he sued Eddie Murphy and a host of other people for defamation. The young comedian claimed Eddie Murphy and his legal team sent letters threatening bodily harm for making people believe he was actually Eddie’s son. Brando now asserts that his management hoodwinked him into filing the suit. After feeling like he’d been tricked, Brando Murphy dropped the lawsuit and stated, “It was never my intention to offend Mr. Murphy.”

The funny thing about this whole thing is Eddie Murphy is the one who should have sued. Brando Murphy was said to have harassed the Oscar nominated actor at his favorite coffee shop. Brando would allegedly scream, “My dad won’t talk to me!” Brando, born Brandon Roberts, changed his last name too Murphy and appeared on the aforementioned comedy tour with Richard Pryor’s son Mason.

Since the lawsuit didn’t work, how will Brando Murphy extend his 10 seconds of fame?
