Justice Scalia: 14th Amendment Protects Everyone, Not ‘Only The Blacks’

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said the 14th Amendment protects everyone, not “only the blacks” during an oral argument on Affirmative Action reports the New York Times.
The court was debating whether or not Affirmative Action programs could be banned by voters through referendums. A referendum allows voters to approve or reject a particular proposal that has been passed through legislation.
