Omari Hardwick has officially been casted as the lead in the STARZ original drama “Power,” that will be executively produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. The hour-long series is expected to premiere in 2014.
Hardwick will star as James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a New York City nightclub owner who caters to the city’s elite. His only downfall is the fact that he is in fact living a double-life. When St. Patrick is not trying to turn his nightclub into a Fortune 500 business, he’s busy running the most lucrative drug network in New York. In trying to leave his life as a kingpin behind him his marriage, business and family all become threatened.
Hardwick’s previous film credits include: “Sparkle,” “For Colored Girls,” “Kick Ass,” and “The A-Team.” He has also starred in several television series; however, this is Hardwick’s first leading role.
