Dear Tom,

Some might say that life has not been kind to my brother Wayne. He married young and was divorced early in his adult-life. He went and became a master electrician and eventually started his own electrical contracting business.

He has suffered through a host of physical ailments such as gout, diabetes and most recently Prostate Cancer.  Yet, Wayne has always chosen to respond to life’s challenges like a real man and I have yet to hear him complain about his lot in life.

Along with his physical challenges from the cancer treatments, he still has a zest for life and my family and I want him to know that he is loved and is an inspiration to all of us.

24 years ago, he met Darlene – the woman who would become his second wife. Together, they have raised 3 beautiful daughters and this past weekend, on August 18th, they celebrated 21 years of marriage.

But when she married him, she also married his baby – a 1974 Dodge Challenger. He’s had this big blue muscle car for 26 years – and he could use a real good sound system in there.

Thank you for taking the time to read his story and please continue the great work you do.

Sincerely,

James R. Meade, Sr
