Can’t afford a road trip? Well, celebrity chef G. Garvin’s got you covered.

The one time host of his own cooking show “Turn Up the Heat with G. Garvin” on TV One, Garvin is now heading up “Road Trip with G. Garvin” on the Cooking Channel which debuts on Tuesday, May 29th at 9 p.m.

The show heads down South and around the country to bring viewers the best of the Southern cuisine that Garvin is known for. He starts off in Georgia, and then heads to Charleston and to Houston and even New York during the show’s run.

“‘Road Trip’” is one of those great shows where we go around to little restaurants, mom-and-pop spots that all have something interesting or unique about them, whether it’s a great burger, a great piece of chicken or a great cake,” he told Theweekender.com. “What (viewers) will get are great places to go amongst their travels.”

The three-time cookbook author is working on several other projects including the TV version of his memoir “The Making of a Chef” which has been sold to HBO.
