I am reminded of the “Queen of Soul” each and everyday since April 1967. The smell of Chantilly Lace perfume, Beechnut Peppermint Gum and the repetitive play of the vinyl 45RPM R_E_S_P_E_C_T each one a personal favorite of my momma during my first trimester. Each one an automatic morning, afternoon and evening sickness trigger. I was never so excited and overjoyed when “Do Right Woman” replaced the repetitive spin on that old record player. My lifelong reminder is 50 now, she cried like a baby when hearing of the “Queen’s” passing, and so did I. With all our love and R_E_S_P_E_C_T. Forever in our hearts.
