Amid sexual assault and rape allegations, R.Kelly‘s team has begun to disappear from around him. Since February, Kelly’s lawyer, assistant, and publicist have all left according to the Huffington Post.
Linda Mensch, Kelly’s lawyer left him in February 2018 and told BBC News that her decision to leave was, “unrelated to Mr. Kelly’s social life.”
His executive assistant Diana Copeland also told BBC News that she left her position on April 1, 2018. Having worked with R.Kelly for 10 years, Copeland did not provide an explanation to why she was leaving.
Trevian Kutti was Kelly’s publicist left her position on April 16, 2018, according to The Rolling Stone. Shortly after a 19-year-old woman filed a criminal report against Kelly claiming that he gave her a sexually transmitted disease.
Her lawyer says, “These offenses occurred while our client was being groomed to join Kelly’s sex cult.” It was reported last year by BuzzFeed that parents notified police that R. Kelly was allegedly holding a sex cult that brainwashed women.
This continues to add to a long list of sexual assault and rape allegations that have followed Kelly throughout his career.
