Comedians Cocoa Brown, Sherri Shepherd, and Kym Whitley know each other all too well. Well enough that they can fight each others battles when the other isn’t there to do it. Fights like cussing out one of their baby daddies for more child support.
“Coming from you it just comes off like you’re bitter and angry. So sometimes you have to send in those troops,” laughed Brown. “I’m saying don’t you fight your own battles. You got troops!”
Brown is currently starring in a new show on Fox called 9-1-1 where she plays nurse Carla Price. “I’m on 9-1-1 on Fox. We got renewed for a second season two episodes in,” expressed. But she credits her team for being able to do what she does.
“If it wasn’t for my team. I went through a whole situation throughout the beginning of the year where I had to get rid of all the team that I had for the last 3-4 years,” expressed Brown. “There were too many Judas in the room.”
But she’s thankful for the people that she has surrounding her now.
Catch her at the Arlington Improv February 22-25.
