When celebrities do something like a buying a dream car for a parent or blessing them with a house, it’s usually to say thank you.
However, singer and actor Tyrese’s situation is a bit different. In an Instagram video posted on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, he writes about his mother’s 27-year substance abuse and how it ruined his childhood. Writing, “If there’s a reward in heaven for forgiveness, having compassion towards those who have broke your heart and let you down over and over again…I hope God doesn’t skip over me..”
In spite of all that he gifted his mother a brand new house to celebrate her 11 years of being sober.
“This is the reason why we work as hard as we do,” says Tyrese. “It’s not about what’s in your bank account. It’s about what you’re doing to make a difference in other peoples lives from the heart.”
Looks like Tyrese could step away from his beef with The Rock for just a little bit to show his mother some love.
