From the looks of it, someone is questioning if Mariah Carey deserves her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

According to TMZ, her star on Hollywood Blvd. was vandalized by the addition of a question mark to her name, drawn in ink.

A rep for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce called the LAPD Sunday and revealed that someone on Instagram had claimed responsibility, TMZ reports.

Hollywood Historic Trust has already had it cleaned up for a reported $1,500.

According to TMZ, cops have pulled surveillance video in their search for the suspect. The investigation is for felony vandalism.

  1. Not down with this Mariah doesn’t deserve this treatment. The lady works hard for her money She has a voice even now its a good voice No need for the hate We have enough problems being black and a black woman with children who has to work Come on people

Maybe not like she used to but there is no denying this woman had a fantastic voice, octaves like no other. I’ll just listen to her old music/CDs which are the best anyway. Not everyone handles fame well but it’s her life to live. Maybe one day when she gets a better attitude, she’ll look back and regret her bad decisions, but until then… singing, too far apart to bridge the distance, but something keeps us hanging on and on, pretending not to know the difference, denying what we had is gone…lol

    • Rivaled only by Minnie Ripperton’s ability to hold notes in the sixth and seventh octave range. No matter what happens from now on, no one can deny the beauty of Ms. Carey’s voice.

SN: I know Tina Marie does not fit into the same octave category, but that woman had an awesome voice as well, listening to Shadowing Boxing right now!

      • I know Teena Marie was loved by many, including me. However, I didn’t particularly like her singing. A little too much screaming and screeching. Trying to listen to Fire And Desire was torturous. But, I liked her personality. At least the little I learned of her on Unsung.
