Golden Globe winner Don Cheadle‘s movie, Miles Ahead, is now available on DVD, digital and Blu-Ray. He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the hurdles he faced bringing the film to life and what celebrities supported him financially.
On the struggles of getting the film made:
“Unlike many independent films we tried to find irrational investors. We had to do a lot of things to get the movie made. We went to friends…Kevin Hart put in on it, Pras and then we went to social media. The budget was 8.9M. We started raising money in 2008,” Cheadle said.
