A 757 was forced to land after a fight allegedly broke out on a plane from Los Angles to Minneapolis.

USA Today reports:

Delta Flight 2598 was en route from Los Angeles to Minneapolis on Jan. 22 and was about 180 miles south of Salt Lake City when the decision was made to divert to Salt Lake City. The Boeing 757 remained on the ground in Utah for about 80 minutes before continuing on to Minneapolis, where it arrived about 75 minutes behind schedule, according to The Aviation Herald.

The Aviation Herald, which tracks safety-related aviation incidents, appears to be among the first to report on the news.

The publication says an unnamed Flight 2598 passenger reported some of the flight’s attendants were “sent off” the flight after it landed in Salt Lake City because of “bad behavior.” Delta later emailed the flight’s customers with an apology, according to the Aviation Herald.

The Aviation Herald quotes Delta’s email as telling Flight 2598 passengers “some of our team members did not display their best behavior. We expect our flight crew to be nothing but courteous and professional at all times and what you experienced was far from that. I am sorry we didn’t deliver on our brand promise for you today.”

The Aviation Herald says the “fist fight” between the attendants came after “disagreeing over work issues,” though the publication did not cite a specific source for that information.

Delta confirmed to Today in the Sky on Monday that an altercation occurred on the Jan. 22 flight.

“Delta apologizes to those customers who were inconvenienced after flight 2598 from Los Angeles to Minneapolis-St. Paul made an unscheduled stop in Salt Lake City following an altercation involving two flight attendants on board. The actions of these crew members in no way reflect the values and professionalism we expect from all of our employees,” Delta says in its statement.
