It was just a few hours earlier today that we announced that Mattel put its Ava DuVernay Barbie doll on sale today, just in time for the holiday gift-giving season.
“All my proceeds from #AvaBarbie will be sent from @Mattel to @ColorOfChange + @WitnessOrg. A fun way to support. xo!” is what Ava tweeted out about where the funds from the dolls are going.
Well anyway, wouldn’t you know it, the demand for the dolls is through the roof! Unfortunately, it sold out in less than 20 minutes. However, according to YBF, Amazon will be selling the dolls later today.
