Roland Martin talks to filmmaker Keith Beauchamp about his plans for a Emmett Till movie in light of the 60th anniversary of his death.

“This is something I’ve been trying to do for 20 years. It started off as research to do a screenplay. I want to make a film for the people and by the people. I don’t want this to just be a Hollywood film that you look at and it just goes away,” Beauchamp said.

  1. Correction: A movie about “Black Wall Street;”. Referring to the wealth that black once had before it all was destroyed because of jealousy and hatred.

  2. Emmett Till’s story should’ve been made into a major motion picture years ago!!!
Kudo’s to Mr. Beauchamp for doing this story now!!!!!
