It’s not exactly a secret that our National Anthem is a difficult song to sing.

And now, after a rather forgettable rendering of  “The Star-Spangled Banner,” before the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, add Jamie Foxx to the list of people who can testify to that.

As talented as Foxx is as an actor, comedian and yes, singer, a lot of the Internet considered his performance sub-par and that’s being generous. Nope, Marvin Gaye he ain’t (we’re referring to Gaye’s still classic version of the National Anthem before the 1983 NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles).

And like Gaye, Foxx, 47, decided to be different and “remix” the melody, but unfortunately for the funnyman/singer, it turned out to be an unwise decision, at least according the Twitter judge and jury, if you get our drift. He ended up trending for all the wrong reasons.
