Big Sean‘s upcoming performance at Princeton University is being petitioned by students who don’t like his lyrics.

Junior Duncan Hosie led the petition after watching a promo video. It featured the line, “stupid a** b***h” from “IDFWU.” He found his lyrics to be both misogynistic and homophobic.

“I’m sure every singer has a questionable song, but there are a significant amount of his songs that deal with this,” said senior Rebecca Basaldua who helped Hosie. “I think there are a lot of other artists, in the same genre even, that would have been a better choice.”

The pair want Princeton’s Undergraduate Student Government to “stop promoting rape culture and misogyny by rescinding the offer.” The petition added, “In the future, USG should strive to bring non-misogynistic acts to campus.”

Although the petition received 500 signatures, it won’t go far. Sean’s performance is a done deal. “The contracts are signed and it’s unrealistic to stop this from happening,” said Simon Wu, who chairs the USG social committee in charge of getting performers, according to The Daily Princetonian.
