Everyone wants in on Empire’s magic, including Saturday Night Live. Fox’s freshman series continues to break records each week by climbing up the Nielsen ratings chart and SNL is getting in on the action, sort of. Last night the legendary sketch comedy series featured, SNL players Leslie Jones and Kenan Thompson, along with host Chris Hemsworth introduce a new white character. It seems Hemsworth’s character is the answer to Fox’s problem on how to white America’s attention, since black America can’t get enough of the Lee Daniels show.
Empire’s scene stealing darling Taraji P. Henson caught wind of the spoof and took it all on the chin. Taraji remarked on Twitter:
You know you have arrived when SNL clowns you.
