Being Mary Jane returns to BET on Tuesday, February 3 and fans of the show can’t wait. The supertrailer that’s just been released shows Mary Jane and her family going through a whole host of changes – ones that are entirely too relatable.
From work to relationships, to parental squabbling to friendships, it looks like you can expect more of the same drama that characterized the first season. (Sadly, though, it looks like Omari Hardwick, who played the married man Mary Jane fell in love with, is not coming back, but you can catch him on Power on Starz this summer.)
The rest of the cast, including Gabrielle Union as Mary Jane, Stephen Bishop as her estranged love David, Richard Roundtree as her father and Lisa Vidal as her boss are all back along with the rest of the original cast.
Created by Mara Brock Akil, also creator of Girlfriends and The Game, Being Mary Jane has been a boon for BET’s original scripted series production and has also been a fan favorite on Twitter.
