Well, let’s hope Dwyane Wade is making note of this, but Gabrielle Union shared, recently, her ovaries are coughing up dust. The “Being Mary Jane” actress is ready for children.

In Uptown‘s December/January issue Union opened up about her personal l life — shedding light on potentially having kids, scandals and cyber-bullying.

Speaking of personal matters, she said about her future having kids, “I think my brain and my heart are screaming baby fever.”

She added, “my ovaries, however, they’re coughing up dust. Yes, it’s in my heart and in my mind, and we’ll see if my body catches up with that.”

Union also dished about being depressed and how she coped with her depression through eating out her feelings.

“[For my] honey cornbread, I add, a half a thing of honey to the Jiffy mix and I like to eat it raw,” she said. “That’s when I’m like, ‘Am I depressed?’ There’s at least some self-respect with [eating] brownie batter, or you know, cake batter.”

She talked about being cyber-bullied right after her wedding and having the whole world see her naked after her nudes leaked online.

“I literally heard the day after I got married. It happened after [we had] the most epic discussion with pre-teens and teenagers about Internet safety, social media, being a target and having to be smart,” she said. “The next day I had to say, ‘Ummm. Of no fault of my own, um, you know, I’m naked on the Internet?’”

  1. I think D Wade got himself fixed???? Or Maybe Gabrielle has had too many abortions or she just love her body too much and afraid that haing a baby will mess her up, they both need to be honest with each other.

  5. I think it would be more refreshing if a celebrity wouldn’t be so forthcoming about their plans to have or not have children. I guess it’s a personal issue, as it is with most of us of non-public people. And they, the celebrities are still entitled to some privacy. Furthermore, yes there are women out there that go on to conceive and have healthy pregnancies at the ages of 40 and beyond without the aid of fertility medicine. (I know of two, my own grandmother being one of them) Granted, most do require medical intervention, but anything’s possible.

At least she is honest about it, so tired of all these celebrities acting as if they are still fertile, using technology to get themselves or a surrogate pregnant and then coming back and saying it was a miracle-they lead ordinary women without their money thinking they can have that miracle too….it is very rare to get pregnant naturally after 40 and so rare after 44 that the government does not even consider it statistically significant 15-44 is all they keep statistics on but in Hollywood you would think it was normal. Eggs are fragile, women don’t make new ones and they age right along with you, women need to stop believing the myth they can wait and then have their own biological children late in life.

Ignorance is bliss….I work in the healthcare industry and see “ordinary” women in their 40’s having babies all the time…ovary production does increase with age but it is NOT impossible for a woman in her 40s to get pregnant and without the use of fertility treatments. However if a woman chooses to seek fertility treatments there is no shame in that. It”s a nice change to see a 40ish new mom than a 30ish grandmother!
