1. Diddy

Coming in at the top spot (again), Diddy is worth an estimated $700M. A large part of his stake comes from the newly acquired Revolt TV network. In a year alone, Diddy’s net worth jumped $120M.

2. Dr. Dre

No stranger to these types of lists, Dr. Dre is  worth an estimated worth of $550M. Beats By Dre makes up 2/3 of the premium headphone market and is largely the reason why he beat Jay-Z for the number two spot.

3. Jay Z

Not far behind is Jay-Z. With a net worth of $520M, he slipped to spot number three on the popular list. Endorsement deals, investments and start up companies make Mr. Carter pretty business savvy. His latest negotiated deal comes in at an astounding $240M

4. Birdman

The CEO of Cash Money records sits at a net worth of $150M (he co-owns the label with his brother Slim). Artists like Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lil Wayne help make the record label a financial powerhouse. In addition, Birdman has developed Cash Money Content, GT Vodka and YMCMB clothing.

5. 50 Cent: $100M

Vitamin Water will always be synonymous with 50 Cent. Even though the hip hop mogul sold the brand for an undisclosed amount, most of his $100M financial success comes from the deal in 2007. Now he owns SMS Audio headphones and STK, a line of energy drinks.

In the race for Hip Hop’s first billionaire, who do you think will take the top spot?

  1. So are any of these people staring a factory in the hood ? Why don’t they print some type of currency since they are so rich supposely.
I wonder how many black people think this great even though they seem to do nothing to really help
other poor black people in the hood rise above those ghetto type conditions they all rap about.
