BDO: Name your least favorite moves at the gym?

 

Buffie: Split squats! You’re basically squatting with one leg and it taxes the entire body. It takes a lot of balance and the right shoes.

BDO: What is the one thing people assume most about you?

 

Buffie: People assume I’m a party girl with a Hollywood attitude.  But once they get to know me, they’re baffled that I’m not even close to being like that.  I live a quiet, laid-back lifestyle. I love fitness, baking, gardening and sewing.  I’m simple.

BDO: What are three things that every woman needs to understand about having a great body?

Buffie:

1. Don’t skip out on carbs and fats. It takes more than protein to build a great body.

2. Don’t be scared to lift heavy weights. Resistance training IS necessary.

3.  Allow your body to rest. Rest is just as important as the actual workout.

BDO: What are you doing now and what do you hope to accomplish?

Buffie: I became certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2012 as a personal trainer. So I’m working on starting an online training website for women who prefer working out at home. I just released ”Grade-A Glutes,” which is my first workout DVD. You can purchase it at www.bodynomics.com. My future goal is to create fitness apparel for women. It’s hard finding nice workout clothing for women who are tall, especially if they have big thighs and a butt.
