Khandi Alexander Joins 'Scandal' As Olivia Pope's Mom

Olivia Pope is getting a mom and it’s Khandi Alexander!

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting, the “Treme” and “CSI: Miami” star will play Maya Lewis, Olivia Pope’s mother who was killed in a plane crash (that’s if she’s really dead), you know how Shonda Rhimes gets down!

Alexander will be making her “Scandal” debut on Thursday, November 7, 2013.
