Wendy Williams is the consummate celebrity gossip artist.

The emerging “talk show queen” specializes in digging up dirt, and has made a career of sniffing out other people’s business, while staying mum about her own drama. It’s a recipe that works.

But like anyone else, Wendys’ got skeletons, including a marriage that was once tested by infidelity.

In a recent interview with VLAD TV, Wendy discussed her 14 year relationship with husband Kevin Hunter. On this rare occasion, the dirt was in her backyard.

In 2001, shortly after the birth of her newborn child, Wendy discovered that her husband was cheating.

In many cases, this would be a deal-breaker.

But Williams stayed put, despite having (presumably) many other Stedman-types to choose from.

She says that even though it sounds cliche, the cheating has made their marriage stronger.

She also says that she loves her husband and he loves her and they decided together that they would reveal the story.

Says Wendy,

“If you told me when I was twenty five years old or thirty years old that I would stay around for a cheater, I would have been like ‘you’s a lie.’ I’ve got way too much to offer a man to stick around for him cheating on me, you know? At that particular time I had my career in radio, I was making a great salary, I had vacation property of my very own and the world was my oyster, so I definitely thought I wasn’t staying around for some cheating. But I did and I don’t regret it.”

Wendy added that she and her husband tackled the issue together, which opened the door to reconciliation.

She also suggests that anyone who cheats should never confess because it might hurt their partner.

However, if you’re caught cheating, Wendy says, it’s best to confess, rather than lying or dragging out unnecessary drama.

“The best advice that I can give is that if you’re the one who was cheated on, whether you decide to stay or leave, forgive and forget either way.”

  1. Accelerating this process requires careful attention in order to ensure you
do not risk your health or cause potentially permanent damage to your body.
Kim initially thought that a tummy tuck would do the trick for achieving her weight loss goals.
She looked stunning in a white ivory custom-designed Vera Wang
gown with full tulle skirt, basque waist and hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqu on the bodice and train.

  2. I cheated on my hubby, and, can’t think of why- other than the fact that I wanted to. Had/have an excellent marriage, which goes against the cheating factor. Apparently, if so good- then why the hell would I cheat? It is good- yet, cheated anyway. Wasn’t even a thought until it happened- wasn’t looking, nor was I interested in looking. Was, and still am perfectly content, and totally in love with my hubby. I don’t analyze it anymore- there are no answers. At the time, have no idea why I wanted to- I just did.

  3. Maybe Wendy was so busy trying to mind somebody elses business, she forgot to handle her own. Or maybe she was laying up getting more plastic surgery. Who knows?

Someone on this post asked, when was the mast time a woman cheated? As if its only men that cheat Nothing could be further from the truth. the only reason yo dont hear about it is because the man ( husband) doesnt broadcast it the way women do.

  5. dtown: Duuuuh people cheat for many reasons. There is no one reason. Marriage is hard; and it’s unrealistic to think that over anyone’s life time they’re not going to be attracted to someone else. I realize that acting on that attraction is a different thing. Is it right? No! But S happens. I’m glad that Wendy’s marriage has stayed intact

True dat!!!! I guess Wendy and her husband were able to sit down, talk about it and work it out. THAT is huge!! When was the last few WOMEN who cheated on their husbands? I’m trying to think. I know that doesn’t happen anwhere near it in reverse. You are right, many reasons. Not getting comfortable and taking each other for granted helps I’m sure. It may sound mean, but you won’t do, someone else will. If you always yell and fuss at your man, that sista who is caring and supportive just MIGHT attract to him. Its not right, but its real talk. Men working all the time, not taking time out for their wives is another one (there are MANY) That brotha at work who takes time with her. Uhhh huhhhh, yep!!!

I think it would be a good idea (if it hasn’t been done) for someone to come out with a show or documentary, book or something on why people who are married t high profile attractive powerful (in their chosen field) cheat. Is it that other people come on to them SO srong that they can’t resist? Problem in the marriage, so they seek outside satisfaction? Or are just plan out of cheat??
