Rapper Nasir "Nas" Jones is a legendary rapper known for his great writing skills, socially conscious outlook, and now for his money problems.

Nas' Atlanta home was recently foreclosed and now the Georgia Department of Revenue (GDR) has filed legal papers demanding that he pay them backed taxes to the tune of $1,083, 435.

Georgia claims Nas owes taxes from the years of 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010.

The GDR is asking for Nas' earnings from his tour with Lauryn Hill to be garnished in order to pay off the debt.

Unfortunately, this tab is only being added to Nas' debt with the federal government.

A representative for the rapper says the issue with the GDR has been resolved; the GDR denies it.
