Chad Johnson is taking anger management classes in response to the domestic violence incident that led to him being arrested. The former NFL receiver appeared on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” and revealed he is taking the classes to learn how to manage his feelings so he doesn’t explode in the future:

“I’m taking classes — anger management classes — and I’m trying to find out how can I channel my anger when I’m in situations to where I would pop off. How can I diffuse those situations?” he said on the show.

Chad is stepping up to the plate and taking full responsibility for his actions:

“I got to work on Chad. Chad has to work on Chad. Chad has to go deep down inside and figure out where he went wrong.

Sometimes or oftentimes it takes these reminders to knock us down a level of two. I think that wearing his wedding ring would have been a better example of someone that “proclaims” he wants to be married just like the tattoo! I don’t know what to believe but I think blaiming the incident for his being let go, well he probably would not have been let go had it not went public but at the same time it might have just been the straw that broke the camels back and they only needed a reason to be released and he gave them that or his actions did. There is a lot of soul searching that has to continue. On the other hand I was so proud of Evelyn on OWN that she admitted as she was forced to realize her insecurities! We are all work in progress, the future is uncertain and none of us are promised tomorrow. It looks like Chad needs someone to take care of his kids more than anything when they are not with their mothers. Evelyn’s role as a “step-mother” didn’t look all that appealing though! As women we jump into that role trying to impress and be a part of when in reality it is taxing and you have to wonder if the glitz and glamour is really worth the few hours of living large, i don’t know. I must admit I envied her “shoes” lol but when you come out of the closet and there are kids to raise those other 12 hours don’t leave much time for newlyweds or love. Hang in there, both of you and look to the Him for support! OBAMA 2012

I hope that he is really working on himself. It is a shame when such great talent has to go to waste. He needs to cut his loses with the Reality Slut and move on with his life, he has some beautiful daughters who need love and attention from their father before they end up in bad relationships. Learn from your mistakes before it’s too late, as the old saying goes you can not turn a ……into a housewife.

He should see a Licensed Clinical Social Worker….Some of us in our community need it regardless of the mental health status stigma….A lot of our men don’t know how to be men because they never had a man in their lives to teach them how to be men, especially his age bracket…..I started counseling some time ago without meds and I like it….I don’t have to be phoney with the Therapist, he sees right thru the shit….A lot of my problems started as a child and grew into adult hood…..
