Sandra Bullock was announced in October as the lead. Warner Bros today announced that RiRi, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina (the stage name of rapper/comedian Nora Lum from Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising) will join her in the high stakes heist franchise.

Not all of the actresses’ deals have officially closed yet, and casting is still ongoing, reports EW.

Steven Soderbergh, who directed the George Clooney-led Ocean’s Eleven trilogy, is also on hand as a producer.

Earlier this summer, Ross told SlashFilm that he sees Ocean’s Eight as “an extension and a continuation” of Soderbergh’s tone.

Production is set to begin this October.
