Petey Pablo’s legal troubles isn’t the first time he has ended up filing for bankruptcy. In 2009, the entertainer, who is best known for hits such as “Raise Up” and “Freek-A-Leek,” filed for bankruptcy. The following year, Pablo was sentenced to prison for attempting to carry a stolen firearm on to a commercial flight.

Despite his setbacks, Pablo found a new beginning after being from prison in 2014 when he made an appearance on the hit Fox show “Empire” with Terrance Howard. Since 2009, the rhymesayer filed for bankruptcy two other times. As it turned out, those cases were dismissed, in light of Pablo failing to make payments on his re-payment plan to his creditors.

Previous documents Pablo filed during his bankruptcy in 2009 revealed his assets were valued at $560,000 while his liabilities were in the range of $850,000.
