Lee Daniels and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman last worked together when she starred in his 2012 drama “The Paperboy,” a role that called for the actress to use the N-word, and she refused to say it out of respect for her adopted black son, Conner Cruise. Now, in a recent sit down for the October issue of Interview magazine, the co-creator of “Empire” gushed about working with Kidman, and revealed his plans to write a role for her on an upcoming episode of his hit FOX series.

“I want you on my set,” Daniels told Kidman during the interview.

“You promised me I would be there one day,” said Kidman, with Lee responding, “I can’t wait.”

As The Wrap reports, it’s unknown if Kidman will appear on the series this season. She is currently headlining the play “Photograph 51” on London’s West End. Whatever Lee is brewing for Nicole, he makes it clear that it’ll be ‘naughty.’

“Whenever I’m with you, I get this energy like we’re being naughty. And naughty is controversial and will uncover something new that hasn’t been seen yet, a new personality trait,” Daniels said.

“I think you bring that out in pretty much everyone you work with,” Nicole said in the issue, which is part of a 60-page portfolio titled “In the Air” with photographs from Fabien Baron.

“I don’t know. You in particular,” Daniels said. “You get this devilish look in your eye, like, ‘Uh-oh, what are we doing now?’ Working with you, I understood what it must have been like to work with someone like Bette Davis. There’s a serenity about you.”’

Meanwhile, Kidman, nor her ex Tom Cruise, were invited to their daughter Isabella’s recent wedding. She tied the knot last month with her boyfriend of less than a year, Max Parker, a 22-year old and the British I.T. consultant. PEOPLE reports that the couple said “I do” during a ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London, and they opted to keep the affair intimate and low-key by not inviting her A-list parents or her younger brother, Connor. According to the report, Tom fully supports the relationship and paid for the wedding and party.
