Matt Neal, 26, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, offered on Facebook to give away his ultra-rare Adidas Yeezy Boost sneakers to an organ donor willing to spare a kidney. The shoe collector revealed in the post that he has two failing kidneys, and he’s quite low on the transplant waiting list.

“People are always joking that they would give a kidney for a pair of yeezy’s!!” Neal said in the post. “Well here’s your chance.”

Matt has Berger’s disease, which causes kidney failure. He said the wait to receive a new kidney can take as long as five to seven years.

Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian heard about Matt’s story and were moved to act. They aren’t donating a kidney but, according to NY Daily News, the couple say if he ends up making the trade they’ll give him a brand new pair of the pricey kicks – which sell upwards for $1000 on eBay.

Federal law prohibits the sale of organs via money or merchandise, but the good news for Matt is, his story has moved many folks who have offered to donate a kidney for free, which is legal.

“I’ve been in tears twice now because all the love and support that I’m getting from random strangers!!” Neal said in a later post.
