Bobbi Kristina Brown’s half-brother Bobby Brown Jr. has experienced a surge in Twitter followers and it has nothing to do with this music.

According to Gossip Cop, the singer went in on those he labeled as “’morbid’ Twitter followers” who he feels are following him on social media in light of death of his sister.

Nearly six months after she was found unconscious in her bathtub at her home, Bobbi Kristina died Sunday (July 26). The tragedy came just one day after Brown Jr. held a release party for his single “Bobby Got Juice.”

In the aftermath, he tweeted, “I want to thank everyone that came out last night for my release party. But right now, I would like to request privacy. – Thank you.”

Brown Jr. is best known for appearing with his famous father Bobby Brown on the 2005 reality show “Being Bobby Brown.” In addition to his son, the elder Brown had a daughter named LaPrincia with Kim Ward.

While he expressed his gratitude for fans, Brown Jr. was well aware that the number of folks following him on Twitter had increased and was not shy about letting folks know his thoughts on why these people are now checking for him. At this time, the vocalist suddenly now has nearly 4,000 followers.

“I don’t want these follows. People don’t give a sh*t about you unless [you’re] relevant, and they don’t love you till you’re famous or gone,” Brown Jr. began.

“This is real life for me, this is my life, my sister. Not a f—-ng trending topic. People wanna be able to say they feel my pain. But nah. You f—-ng don’t, you have no idea. you haven’t been thru half of it.”

Despite deleting his initial tweets, Brown Jr. came back to the issue early Thursday (July 30) as he cleaned up his thoughts while stating why he reacted the way he did.

“My frustration wasn’t towards people giving me their condolences, it was the fact my followers increased a lot, I find it very morbid,” he explained. “I’m not after 15 minutes of fame, or money. For the record, I make my own money proudly. I work very hard in the field I’ve chose to pursue.”

“I apologize for using vulgar language, it wasn’t tasteful,” Brown Jr. added.

The increase in Brown Jr.’s followers does raise an eyebrow, but Gossip Cop notes that “it’s unclear how many he had prior to Bobbi Kristina’s death.”
