Dear Tom,

Two years ago, my wife of 29 years, finally built up enough nerve to have gastric bypass surgery done to take care of health problems.   The bypass seemed to be successful. However, complications soon developed when her intestines became blocked and she had to undergo two, emergency operations. She was in intensive care for weeks and things were touch and go.

Since then, my wife, Lashall has had additional operations on her back and hips for pain.  Needless to say the past couple of years has been a difficult journey for her, but she’s been a real trouper. I feel it is time from her to get a little enjoyment sent her way. However, as a mother of 4 adult children and grandmother of 4, other things always take priority.

Lashall recently began doing her own Mary kay business and needs her own home office set up with a laptop computer, printer and business software.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford to do it, but I am wondering if you could assist me by letting the love of my life know how much she is appreciated for all the years she has dedicated to her family.    I cannot pay her what she is worth, but I can give her tokens of admiration.
