Chris Brown is once again a part of a criminal investigation, but this time the R&B bad boy is not the target of it. When Breezy was locked up last April for busting out of his rehab, while on his way to his court case for assault charges in Washington, D.C., he made a little pit stop at the San Bernadino County Jail. The “Autumn Leaves” singer just spent about a day or so there but was required to have a jail ID. Somehow when Brown was being transported to D.C., his ID was left behind. Now, someone is trying to cash in on the jail’s mistake online.
TMZ is reporting someone attempted to sell Brown’s ID online for a whopping $10,000! Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos was tipped off about the incident and headed straight to the San Bernadino Sherrif’s Department to get some answers. The sherrif’s department started up an investigation to find out who tried to sell off Brown’s ID and discovered the transaction was being made by a local resident. According to the site, the culprit claimed he got Brown’s ID from a friend, who in turn got it from a friend. Well whomever was responsible better find an attorney fast. The police are investigating how Brown’s ID was taken out of the county jail and find out if a crime was committed.
