A background singer is claiming he penned a tune that he shared with another singer who works with Beyonce, and that song ended up in an altered version on Beyonce’s latest self-titled album.
And now he wants $3 million for his troubles. At least.
Ahmad Javon Lane says in his lawsuit that he wrote a song called “XOXO” and shared it with a second singer who does background vocals for Bey, according to TMZ. He claims the song ended up in Beyonce’s hands and she ripped him off with what he says is a copycat song, “XO.”
