My husband Dave and I have been married for almost 25 years. We got married in October of 1990. A year later he had a heart attack at the age of 38 and he has been in and out of the hospital for heart related issues and other health problems ever since.
Just when we thought we have seen enough of the inside of a hospital to last us a lifetime, in June Dave was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Praise god the doctors are saying they caught it in time. Just last week, he began the first segment of his treatment. So, here we go again with more doctor visits, hospital stays and never-ending medical bills.
Tom, Dave has been hoping for us to take a plane trip to visit his oldest sister and her husband in Arizona. He also wants to take some road trips. The first one would be to see our youngest son in Kentucky and then to Wisconsin to visit a close friend who is like our adopted daughter. He also would like to see his nephew in Missouri. This has been weighing heavy on his mind since the death of a nephew we never got to visit in Atlanta. Could you please make our Christmas wish a reality with air fare to Arizona and gift cards for road travel to Wisconsin, Missouri and Kentucky? We would be forever grateful and hopefully, the enjoyment of seeing family will help in Dave’s recovery.
