Listen Live

On putting the album together so quickly:

I wrote all of those in two weeks. It did write itself. There are things on the album that are conversations that we’ve had and when we weren’t talking for a while, there were things I wanted to say to her, so I put it into the songs.

On performing the songs in front of an audience:

That’s become the best part of every day, especially singing these new songs and being able to  exorcise some demons and those feelings. That’s why I made t so quick. I probably shouldn’t have released it so quick and let it be some buildup. I think it was too much information too soon. But I love the album and I’m very excited about the music and performing these songs live is very powerful.

On where he’s headed next:

To the airport!

On whether he’ll continue to make the same kind of music going forward:

My playlist of songs, whether it’s Michael Jackson Stevie Wonder or Marvin Gaye or Michael McDonald,  they’re all about relationships and breaking up and getting back together or telling someone how much you want them and need them. That’s the kind of person I am. I’m a sensitive, compassionate human being. Sometimes people out there are trying to focus on the negative but they’re forgetting that two people were madly in love for 21 years and that should be appreciated and applauded, not made fun of.

On whether he and Paula will eventually work things out:

They’re always hope as long as we’re both alive.
