Erica Dixon has always been one of our favorite characters on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” Of all the cast she appears to be the most sensible. We were first introduced to Erica on season one of “L&HHATL,” she and her ex-boyfriend Scrappy were in a relationship at the time, but things came to a screeching halt when he cheated on her during their engagement on the second season. We were rooting for the couple, but sometimes things just don’t work out and by the looks of upcoming season (May 5) Erica dodged a bullet.
It was rumored that Erica and Scrappy were getting back together, but the curvy reality star denounced the gossip saying they were just rumors. However, she and Scrappy are working on co-parenting their daughter Emani. In fact, Scrappy has two new chicks apart of his storyline this season.
Erica is working on her new dress line and being a wonderful mother to Emani. We chatted with Erica about her role on season three of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” Mimi’s sex tape and Diamond’s domestic abuse allegations against Scrappy!
HelloBeautiful: What can we expect from you this season?
Erica Dixon: You can expect to see Erica doing her own thing. You will see my dress line on the show, a new relationship that I was in and how that went. Me and Scrappy trying to be get to a point where we are friends and on one page with parenting Imani.
HB: What was your final breaking point with Scrappy?
ED: The reunion last season. One thing I cherish is my character. I know what standards I hold and for him to try to make me look a certain way because he was getting bashed for things he was doing to himself…Like how are you mad at me and then try to bring me down with you. I don’t like that and I don’t respect you for that. That was the end for me.
HB: If he hadn’t behaved like that on the reunion, would you have given him another chance?
ED: No. There was no rekindling. We were engaged, that’s nothing you play with. We were on the verge of getting married and you still were messing with other women. Are you serious? Why even propose? We have a daughter, this is teaching her it’s OK to play with someone’s heart.
HB: Despite everything else, is Scrappy a good dad?
ED: He’s awesome when he’s with her. I give him that. I will never take that from him.
