A baptism on a Southern California beach ended in tragedy when three people were swept into the ocean by a wave Sunday.
According to a story from the Santa Maria Times:
The U.S. Coast Guard has called off the search for a 43-year-old man, Benito Flores, who was one of the three pulled into the waters off Rancho Guadalupe Dunes Preserve north of Santa Barbara, Calif., during the seaside baptism.
One remains missing and is presumed dead.
